OVERSPEED TRAINING CLINIC
Feel the Need for Speed!

Overspeed Training is a specialized approach to systematically develop a player’s skating speed and skills by training the mind and body at the highest intensity and tempo attainable.  To develop a higher level of skill a player must train above his level of comfort.  Eventually this new, higher level of comfort becomes second nature.  This occurs through "quality repetition".  This program will improve skating speed and strength by practicing quick bursts and high speed cornering. Overspeed Training is a full-ice program.

Skating techniques will include:

• Explosive starts – 1st step quickness
• Acceleration – changing gears
• Stride corrections – eliminate flaws-repeat efficiency
• Lateral mobility
• Edge work – strength and balance
• And more……

Players will learn proper technique and be corrected out of bad habits.

Stick work exercises will include:

• Positioning
• Confidence drills
• Quick stick
• Strength
• Touch
• Shooting

Developing on-ice athleticism is the key to helping a player reach his goals.

Players will work on a series of traditional and innovative exercises. This is a proven program for hockey development.

Where: Skate 3 Arena, Tyngsboro, MA
When: Monday Evenings, June 30th through August 18th
Times: 7:00pm - 8:00pm for Squirt & PeeWee
8:10pm - 9:20pm for High School, Prep and Juniors
